Leonid Eichfeld implores us, with impassioned articulation, to look beyond the fact that he's trans and give equal weight to his enjoyment of biking, his drawing and writing skills, his place on the swim and tennis teams, his drumming, and his guitar playing. Currently a sophomore at Baxter Academy in Portland, Leo is not just trans but a rich and complicated amalgamation of things, just as each of the rest of us are.

International Top Model and Transgender Activist Teddy Quinlivan discusses the "Power of revealing your darkest secret" in a very inspiring talk about how revealing her most darkest secret made her a happier and more successful person. Since coming out as transgender in September 2017, Teddy Quinlivan has become an outspoken advocate for the transgender community and the struggles of models in the industry. She has used her status to lobby for more inclusion in fashion, while working with the world’s most renowned designers. Her modelling career took off after being discovered by Louis Vuitton creative director Nicolas Ghesquière in 2015, when she made her debut as an exclusive for the Louis Vuitton’s Spring/Summer 2016 show. Since then, she has walked in shows for Saint Laurent , Dior, Gucci, Prada and Chanel, and appeared in editorials for American Vogue, Vogue Japan, Love Magazine and Teen Vogue. Quinlivan came out as transgender in a CNN Style interview in September 2017, during New York Fashion Week.

This talk aims to challenge your ideas the topic as well as give you ideas on how to improve, be more critical and contribute and learn how to be a better ally to trans and queer people. Ugla Stefanía Kristjönudóttir Jónsdóttir is a trans and queer activist from Iceland. They have been involved in activism for the past 8 years and have been a part of many NGO‘s, including Samtökin 78 – National Queer Organization, Trans Iceland and IGLYO – International Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer and Intersex Youth and Student Organization. They are currently doing their masters in gender studies at the University of Iceland.
