Hi Everyone! Frank Baird, LMFT, LPCC, CMT-P, and Vivian Hermiz, JD, CMT-P, facilitate weekly Resilience classes online. In this class, we delve into the foundations of self and self-awareness. We examine the concept of the “witness” in our experiences, highlighting the importance of mindfulness in observing our thoughts and feelings. We distinguish between perception and perspective, learning how past knowledge and evolving wisdom influence our sensory experiences and interpretative approaches. We emphasize the significance of interdependence in shaping our self-image, challenging the notion of individualism prevalent in modern culture. We practice mindfulness techniques to create pattern interruptions, allowing us to encounter experiences with fresh perspectives and fostering a more profound sense of gratitude for the collective contributions to our achievements.
